ICT (Information and Communications Technology)
ICT is an integral part of our curriculum and the school is extremely well-equipped with a wide range of ICT resources including interactive whiteboards, computers, Apple TV and an extensive number of iPads.
Children have computers in each classroom and we are in the enviable position where we also have a fully equipped computer suite. Pupils have opportunities to develop word-processing skills and use programmes relevant to the curriculum and class topics. They are given a variety of experiences to enable them to develop knowledge, skills and understanding of ICT in its various forms.
We ensure that pupils are taught about the importance of using the internet safely. Controlled, filtered and closely supervised access to the internet allows the pupils to develop research and communication skills within a meaningful context.
